It is prawn cury

The little miss Wong has been anxious for her prawn. And I of course am more than willing to service. So, her then it is. This is my auntyji's kolmi no patio recipe. It is very fine.

Auntyji no kolmi no patio

Two pounds shelled deveined large prawns
10-12 mild red chillies deseeded
3 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon peppercorns
1 tablespoon coriander seeds
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
3 large onions finely chopped
3 Roma tomatoes
Sugar - preferred coarse or palm. As much.

Lightly roast seeds, and grind to smoothness, using as much vinegar as may be needed.
Fry the chopped onion with oil till golden. Add the ground masala, turmeric, and cook it over a low flames. Add the prawns and fry. When it becomes dry add the jaggery, whatever remaining vinegar, the tomatoes, and one cup water. Simmer till done. Sprinkle fresh coriander and serve with parotha and rice, yellow dal on side. With everything, of course, kachumbar. It is a feast.
